William W. Sentell is a partner with Akerman LLP in Houston. He focuses his practice on franchise dispute resolution and related corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters. He has over 16 years of experience leading litigation cases from inception to trial. William is a co-editor of Covenants Against Competition in Franchise Agreements (4th ed.), published by the American Bar Association. He also contributed to the ABA’s best-selling Franchise Deskbook (3rd ed.). His written work has appeared in the Franchise Law Journal, The Franchise Lawyer, Franchising World, Modern Restaurant Management, Franchising.com, and Law Week Colorado, among other publications. William has spoken widely about issues affecting the franchise community, including before the American Bar Association, the International Franchise Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, Tulane University and the University of New Orleans. He lives in Houston with his wife Kristen, daughter Victoria and dog Bella.
