McDonald's Insight

Being a McDonald’s franchisee means owning your own business – working for yourself, but not by yourself. It’s about setting your own goals, managing your own restaurants and reaping your own rewards. McDonald’s franchisees are hands-on, business-savvy and ambitious people who are ready to make a long term commitment to a business.

As a franchisee, you would need to make a significant up-front financial investment, but in return you’ll receive all the support and training you’d expect from one of the world’s biggest and iconic brands.

The right to run a restaurant typically requires you to pay an upfront amount of between £400,000 to £800,000. You’ll need to provide 25% of the investment in unencumbered funds and the rest can be funded through a bank loan. Operating a McDonald’s franchise is all about people. You’ll lead from the front, and you’ll be responsible for a large workforce. You’ll become an integral part of the local community too.

McDonald’s franchisees support their communities in a variety of different ways, including sponsoring local good causes, grassroots football and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). We are looking for talented individuals who can demonstrate a track record of success through their passion for delivering a great customer experience and exceptional people skills.
